If you look back in time at Britain’s housing stock, the vast majority of homes had wooden flush casements. You don’t see too many original timber casements around these days, but what you do see is a growing number of properties with UPVC flush casements, including many at new-build homes. One of the great things about them is that they’re so much easier to maintain than traditional flush casements, and that they also have hardware just like the handles and hinges used in the past on flush casements.
For this flush casement installation, Georgian bar detailing was specifically requested for the design and we more than happily obliged. With the flush casements fitted, the occupants are assured of year-round thermal efficiency and around-the-clock protection thanks to the multi-point locking mechanism incorporated into each window. The white coloured finish serves as a nice contrast to the black coloured front door and garage door. If flush casements fit in as seamlessly in the newest of new-builds, they will fit in anywhere. They have added a real historical touch.
